JOB SUMMARY

  • The Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe operation and inspection of all equipment assigned to them, as well as performing tasks related to the care and cleanliness of the equipment whether it be on the jobsite or in the shop.

JOB DUTIES

The duties for this position will include and not limited to performing physical labor for:

  • The Directional Boring Operator & Locator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of directional drilling equipment to install underground utilities within civil work. Performs related duties as required.

    • Operate directional boring equipment, including horizontal directions drill (HDD) and related machinery.
    • Set up and maintain drilling equipment to ensure proper functioning.
    • Monitor drilling parameters and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and safety.
    • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling equipment.
    • Use utility locating equipment, such as ground-penetrating radar, electromagnetic locators, and utility maps, to accurately identify the location of existing underground utilities.
    • Mark and flag the paths of utilities, ensuring that they are clearly visible to all team members.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries during operations.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards.
    • Conduct pre-operation safety checks and inspections of equipment.
    • Communicate drilling progress, challenges, and any issues to related utility locations to the project manager or supervisor.
    • Coordinate with other team members, including laborers and supervisors, to ensure effective teamwork.
    • Maintain accurate records of drilling operations, utility locations, and equipment maintenance.
    • Complete necessary paperwork and reports as required by the project and headquarters.
    • Implement measures to minimize environmental impact, such as controlling drilling fluid spills and disposing of waste responsibly.

    • Review of RFx instructions & project plan documents
    • Quantity takeoff for self-performed and subcontracted work
    • Requesting of subcontractor and material quotes
    • Selection of vendors
    • Entry of relevant information into bid preparation software,
    • Reviewing with operations staff
    • Preparation of bid documents for submission to the client, including work plans and schedules

JOB DUTIES

The duties for this position will include and not be limited to performing physical labor for Civil Construction:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans for civil construction projects; to include underground construction, wet/dry utilities, structural concrete, grading and paving knowledge.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards, project specifications, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance issues.  Generate quality control reports and documentation as needed.

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • The Senior Estimator position reports to the Director of Operations. The position is responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates in support of bidding projects in a highly competitive market; typically, regulated dry utility infrastructure construction projects. The position works closely with operations to review project plans and specifications, determine general project requirements, and identify constructability challenges. The position also supports operations and project managers in pre-construction and project management functions including but not limited to project hand-off, resource planning and scheduling, and change order management. The Senior Estimator is a key, individual contributor that works in a highly collaborative environment and serves as the functional expert when developing estimates.

JOB DUTIES

The duties for this position will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage 3-5 Estimators
  • Read and establish a comprehensive understanding of project scopes of work (SOW) related to clients’ requests for proposal for use in establishing estimates.

  • Construct, install, and maintain piping systems, and equipment for natural gas.
  • Join plastic polyethylene piping by means of fusion, electrofusion, or mechanical coupled joints.
  • Installation and replacement of existing HDPE gas mains & services.
  • Measure and mark pipes for cutting.
  • Layout of pipe, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints.
  • Locate existing pipes needing repair or replacement.
  • Verify specifications by performing quality assurance tests.
  • Cover pipes with earth or other materials, and compact using compaction equipment.
  • Work safely around backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and dump trucks, and fusion equipment including heating irons.
